Travel Friendly Smoothie Maker
Summer vacation is approaching. For many, summer vacation is about exploration, relaxation and shared moments. Nothing beats a fresh, ice-cold smoothie on a summer day. We recommend this simple blueberry smoothie recipe that most children will enjoy (2 servings)
Ingredients
1 banana
2-3 teaspoons of blueberry powder
2 dl vanilla yoghurt
2 dl apple juice or grape juice
Procedure
1. Peel the banana and put it in pieces in a blender.
2. Pour in berries, yoghurt, and juice and let the machine run until everything is mixed into a smooth mass.
You can add 2-3 ice cubes if desired and fresh berries for decoration.
Children's taste preferences are shaped by exposure, texture and presentation. The authors write that it is wise to start early with this exposure, if you want children to eat fruits, berries and vegetables. Smoothies can be a good way to introduce a variety of fruits, vegetables, and dairy products, or fortified alternatives. Over time, repeated exposure helps children accept a wider range of flavours. By letting children participate, they learn about proper nutrition. It becomes a ritual that signals "vacation time" and "family time," enriching the travel experience with shared meaning.
A travel-friendly blender may seem odd in a suitcase full of sunscreen and sandals, but it's one of the smartest and most practical things you can pack this summer. It's compact, versatile, and surprisingly easy to use. Travel-friendly blenders are often compact, with detachable parts that are easy to clean and pack. Many models are airport-friendly (battery-powered or USB-charged, depending on your trip), and some are designed to fit in daypacks and small suitcases. With a compact little blender, you can easily blend your favourite berry powder, yoghurt, milk or plant-based alternatives, and even oats or seeds into a smoothie in minutes, making it portable and easy to sip on a park bench or beach blanket. A travel-friendly smoothie blender lets you control what's in your meal and helps you start your day with consistent energy.
A smoothie is perfect for using up leftovers. Use up ripe fruit that would otherwise go to waste, saving you money and reducing waste. You can blend soft fruit that would otherwise go bad, add leftover snack-pack contents, and portion to help you manage food costs.
Before you head out on a trip this summer, pack smoothie ingredients that won't go bad in transit: berry powder with a variety of flavours, dry oatmeal, flaxseed, chia seeds, and nut butter in small, labelled bags. If you're unsure about dairy, bring long-lasting yoghurt alternatives or powdered milk.
We wish all our customers a really nice summer vacation :-)
