EMBRACE THE WINTER
The therapeutic benefit we can all gain from spending time in natural environments should not be underestimated. This includes improvements in physical health, such as lower blood pressure and a stronger immune system, and mental well-being, like reduced stress, anxiety, and depression.
Make sure to spend time outdoors daily, especially during daylight hours. It will help improve sleep quality and energy levels. It is also essential for children's development and helps promote creativity, social skills, and learning.
It is good for the body to move, and you do not have to exercise hard to improve your health. It does not have to cost money or a lot of time. Research shows that combining movement and nature experiences can contribute to good health, well-being, and quality of life.
The Norwegian Directorate of Health recommends that adults be physically active for at least 150 minutes each week, and that the activity leave you slightly out of breath. If the activity is high-intensity, at least 75 minutes per week is sufficient.
